Trucking Factoring Rates Comparison

Most "factoring rate comparison" pages on the internet are built around a single number per provider — a "starting rate" pulled from whichever part of the website the content writer happened to land on. That's not a comparison; it's a screenshot. Real factoring rates are ranges, and the spread between the floor of the range and the ceiling of the range is where all the actual economics live.

This page is the full side-by-side: every major trucking factoring company on our universe (18 providers in total), sorted by starting rate, with the rate range, advance percentage, contract length, and minimum volume requirement shown for each. Apex Capital Corp has the lowest floor rate we track. The average floor across all 18 providers is 2.00%, the average advance rate is 98%, and 2 providers quote a single flat rate with no range at all.

Use the comparison table below to filter and re-sort. Everything you see is indicative pricing pulled from public sources — for your actual quote you'll need a custom underwriting, but this data will tell you within 0.25% where you're going to land. It's a rate-shopping starting point, not the final answer.

How to Read 2026 Factoring Rate Ranges

Trucking factoring rates look simple and aren't. Here's the honest framework for reading them without getting burned by the rate-shopping traps that cost small carriers real money every year.

1. How to read indicative ranges. A provider quoting "1.5%–3.5%" is not telling you a random range. They're telling you: "1.5% if your brokers pay within 7 days, 3.5% if they drag out to 60+ days, and we decide where in the range you land based on the credit quality of your customer book." Most owner-operators running mixed broker books end up in the middle third — around the 2.00%–3.00% band on this list. If a provider refuses to tell you a realistic expected rate for your customer mix, walk away.

2. What moves you within the range. Four things, roughly in order of impact: (a) the credit quality of your top five brokers, (b) the aging of those brokers' payments in the factor's system — faster pay brokers bump you down, slower pay brokers bump you up, (c) monthly volume, with most providers having a tier at $50K and another at $100K, and (d) recourse vs. non-recourse choice. A carrier on a 2.5% recourse quote typically pays 2.75–3.0% for the same deal non-recourse.

3. Flat rate vs. range — what each actually means. 2 providers on this list quote a flat rate. Flat rates are attractive because they're predictable, and unattractive because they're usually priced at the upper-middle of what the competitive range would have been. If you have very clean broker credit, a range-quoting provider will almost always beat a flat-rate provider on the actual number. If you have messy credit or a chaotic broker mix, the flat rate is protection against getting pushed to the ceiling.

4. Reserves and chargebacks are hidden rate inflation. Every provider here advertises a "rate" but only 12 of 18 offer a true 100% advance. Everyone else holds 3–10% as reserve against chargebacks. On a $5,000 invoice, a 5% reserve is $250 tied up for 30–60 days. If you annualize that float cost, it's a meaningful addition to your headline rate — usually 0.2–0.4% in effective APR terms.

5. Rate-shopping pitfalls that actually matter. The three mistakes we see most often: (a) signing based on the advertised floor of the range without asking about your actual mix, (b) ignoring the contract-length column, because a 1-year contract at 1.8% with a 2% termination fee is more expensive than a month-to-month at 2.0%, and (c) not accounting for the minimum-volume penalty, where a carrier who runs below the monthly minimum gets charged the full fee on the shortfall. Factor in all three before you let the headline rate decide for you.

How to Use This Comparison Table

The table below is sortable and filterable — click any column header to re-sort by rate, rating, or advance percentage, and use the filter bar above the table to narrow by recourse type, same-day funding, or fuel card availability.

Of the 18 providers shown on this page, 16 accept new MC authorities in their first 90 days, 11 bundle a fuel card program, 17 fund same-day, and 18 offer non-recourse or hybrid contracts. Use those counts to sanity-check any filter you apply — if a combination of filters drops you to zero results, one of the filters is probably too strict for the realistic market.

Once you've narrowed to three to five providers that fit your operation, use the lead form on this page to request matched quotes from all of them at once. It's faster than phoning each one individually and, more importantly, it gives you real negotiating leverage — every provider knows they're being compared side-by-side, which is when you actually see the bottom of their rate range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the best factoring company for rate shopping?expand_more
Based on our 2026 data, **Apex Capital Corp** ranks #1 on this list, with a rating of 4.8/5 from 1200 reviews. Rates start at 1.5%–3.5% with an advance rate of 100%. That said, the "best" factor depends on your customer mix, fleet size, and whether you need same-day funding or a fuel card. Use the comparison table above to filter by what actually matters for your operation.
What's the lowest factoring rate on this list?expand_more
The lowest rate floor we track is **1.5%** per invoice. Keep in mind that most providers quote a rate range — the bottom of the range usually requires fast-paying customers (7 days or less), while slow payers push you toward the top of the range. Always ask for your actual expected rate based on your broker/shipper mix before signing.
How quickly do factoring companies pay?expand_more
17 of 18 providers on this list fund **same-day** — typically 2–6 hours after you submit a clean invoice before their cutoff time. Everyone else runs on a next-business-day ACH schedule. Same-day funding usually costs 0.1–0.25% more but is worth it if you're covering fuel out of pocket between loads.
Is non-recourse factoring worth the extra cost?expand_more
Non-recourse factoring means the factor absorbs the loss if your customer files for bankruptcy before paying. It usually costs 0.25–0.5% more than recourse. It's worth it if you run for brokers you don't have a long relationship with, or if you're hauling for smaller shippers whose credit you can't easily verify. 14 of 18 providers on this list offer true non-recourse; 4 offer both options.
Do factoring companies accept new MC authorities?expand_more
16 of 18 providers on this list accept carriers with less than 90 days of authority. The trade-off is usually a slightly higher rate and tighter credit approval on your broker customers. If you're brand new, prioritize providers with month-to-month contracts so you can switch once you've built volume.
What's the highest advance rate I can get?expand_more
The highest advance rate we track on this list is **100%** — meaning you receive the full invoice amount up front with zero reserve held back. 12 providers offer 100% advances. Keep in mind that higher advance rates usually correlate with slightly higher percentage fees. Most owner-operators prefer 100% advance (no reserve) even at a 0.1–0.2% premium.
